It's Holiday Time!!

I must say that this is my absolute favorite time of year!  I love Christmas shopping, decorating, and all of that good stuff!  Jason HATES it, but loves Christmas.  I am looking so forward spending time with both Jason's family and my family.  I am sure Black Friday shopping will be different this year.  I will be in Tupelo, as always, but this time we have Chase.  I am thinking that I will leave him with my grandmother for a bit to go out that morning.  I used to go out really early, but not anymore... I get out around 7 or 8 instead of 4 am!  J will be getting up to go hunting everyday we are in Tupelo.   We will spend Wednesday with J's family at his sister's house, then go to Tupelo the next day.   It is so much fun seeing all of the family at a special time.

Chase is doing just great.  He still has fluid in his ears and we are on round 2 of antibotics, but he feels great.  He will be crawling soon.  I want to keep him small forever. Crawling, walking, and getting a tooth means he is getting to be a big boy.  I hate that!   My favorite thing is Chase in his hats!  He must have a lot of hats to wear with every outfit.  It drives Jason nuts, but I am obsessed!

We went to Bass Pro the other night to have his picture made with Santa and he was amazed with it all.  He LOVES Santa's beard.  It was so funny.  I went ahead and put my tree up early so I could get Jennifer to come over and make some pictures for Christmas of Chase for a little project I am working on for a gift for the grandmothers.  Here are a couple of samples.  I haven't decided which ones will go on the Christmas card yet so I am just sharing a few.

I hope everyone has a special time with your families over Thanksgiving.  I am so thankful for what the Lord has given us.  I am truly, truly blessed!

Stomach Virus

Jason was hit Monday with an awful stomach virus.  He has survived it and is on the other side!  The doctor said he could not hold Chase for 2 days, which is killing him.   The doctor also said that if Chase or I haven't gotten it by today, that we won't get it from him.  I am praying that is true!  Jason stayed home today to disinfect the house and get some much needed rest after all of that.   On top of that, he is on steroids for his coughing/chest stuff.  Poor baby has had it rough!  I hope to take him to dinner tonight to celebrate the end of the virus!

On a happier note, we have had great weather here this week. Chase's babysitter, Jane, took advantage of it and let the kids
play outside.  Here is a picture of Chase in the swing on her porch. He just LOVES the outside and loves to swing.  I can't wait to take him to the park when he is a bit older!
