New Pictures

Jennifer called and asked me if we ever did 9 month pictures, which we didn't so we did 10 month pictures! Here is a sample of what she took! He was all over the place. We could not keep him still long enough to get a lot of them, but the ones she got were great!

Cat food!!

Chase is amazed with the cat food bowls. He went into the kitchen and before I could get there, he had the bowl in his hand. Of course, I waited with the camera to see what he would do! He eats everything! I found him with fuzz and he tried to eat a leaf yesterday! I thought this was priceless! I can't wait to see what he will do next!

A Weekend Alone

Chase went to Saltillo to visit my mom and family this weekend while Jason and I stayed in Memphis. Surprisingly, I have enjoyed the quite and free time to do what I wanted to do. Friday started off great with a beautiful bouquet of flowers that Jason sent to EPMS. I was so surprised! He usually doesn't have the flowers delievered, but has them waiting for me at home. Friday was the exact day 5 years a go that we got engaged so it was special! I had already surprised Jason with a huge snack basket in his car Friday morning for him to take to school. Jason and I had a wonderful dinner at Bonefish Friday night, went to the Baseball Fundraiser Saturday night, and today we are just doing nothing. Jason is a watching a Star Wars marathon (YUK) and I am catching up on the computer and about to take a really long nap! Chase is happy at Momma Deb's and is getting spoiled rotten. I have called like 5 times in 2 days, but he is doing great. Tonight, I am making Jason and I a nice dinner of Shrimp Alfredo Pasta and chocolate fondue for dessert and we rented a movie to watch together. Tomorrow, I will meet mom to get Chase and kiss him from head to toe!

As for the dance last night...very fun! The DJ was awesome. He did this little musical comedy routine at the beginning and played music for every age. There were for sure some funny dancers! Jason being one of them! He likes to "act" out the songs as he dances just to be funny. There were people dancing from 2oish to 80ish so it was a total blast! Some of the baseball dads dressed up as Elvis's (Elvi they were called) and did a performance to a bunch of Elvis songs...it was priceless!

Anyway, back to the normal world of diapers tomorrow! I miss him, but boy have I enjoyed the break!

Happy Valentine's Day

We are looking so forward to Valentine's Day! We don't have much planned, but today, February 13th is the exact day of the week we got engaged five years ago on Friday, February 13, 2004. We are going to dinner at Bonefish tonight, one of my favorites. Chase and I are meeting my mother in Holly Springs tomorrow morning and he is spending Saturday night and maybe Sunday night with her in Saltillo. Jason and I have to go to a fundraiser dance for the baseball team Saturday night. They have a DJ and it is always a lot of fun and a really good fundraiser. All of the parents make this great food and the music is always fun. It is always more entertaining than anything to see all of the people dancing. This year, they have added Karioke to the mix so that should even more entertaining. I have mixed feelings about Chase staying away from us. I know we will enjoy sleeping, which I plan to do A LOT of, and just hanging out together, but I am going to miss him so much it will hurt!

I only bought Chase one Valentine's shirt...his Heartbreaker shirt, which he looks very cute in as you can see! Now, he will start wearing his "Mom's Lucky Charm" shirt for St. Patrick's Day.

Chase said "Ma Ma"

Last night (Feb. 3rd), Jason and I were coming home from eating Chinese and Chase just randomly, as we were driving, started staying "Ma Ma." Jason didn't believe me! We got home and he was playing and he said it over and over. It was so cute! Now, we have to work on "da da"! I didn't think I could fall in love with him anymore than I have, but it is totally possible! Here is a video that I took with my cell phone of him saying it. The picture is horrible because it was dark and it was with my cell, but the sound is great! I took a real one with the real video camera too.

Sleeping All Night

With the hopes of not jinxing myself....Chase is finally sleeping a full 8 hours without waking up!  Whoo Hoo!!!  Now watch him start waking up 3 or 4 times a night!  

Chase Standing Up!!

Just wanted to take a second to post a couple of cute pictures I snapped with my cell phone. One is of Chase sleeping in his swing. He turned himself completely sideways and fell asleep. He likes to swing this way for some reason and he is strapped in so I don't know how he does it. He likes to look at the mobile and himself in the mirror above the swing, I guess.

This next one, he is standing up at the couch. He has totally mastered pulling up. He just started crawling really fast about a month ago. He took a couple of steps down the couch yesterday. I guess we are "cruising" almost. He just can't figure out how to move his feet yet, but it won't be long! He will be the shortest little walking baby!

Well, I have finally joined the world of Facebook. I didn't really see the fun in it or the point until I got on there. You can connect with a lot of people that way, but I still like email better, but I do log in everyday at least once to see who has wrote what. That is the nosiness in me, I guess!
