Punkin' Carvin', Last Soccer Game, and Haryide

We had a busy weekend!  Friday night we carved pumpkins and had some wonderful chili and homemade guacamole.   It was cold, but we toughed it out in the garage with our hot chocolate.  Chase was interested for about 5 min, then decided he would rather watch TV in the warm house.   He did like lighting it up, but he is like his momma..not a fan of the cold!!

Saturday morning we had our last soccer game.  It was cold!  I am not going to say that Chase hated soccer, but he didn't really like playing.  He spun, he laid down, etc more than he ran.  He did like being goalie and did like the families and kids we met.  All in all, it was fun!  Not sure he will do it again, but we will see.

His favorite move when he was supposed to be running

He looks like he is ready here..not so sure!

"Flying" after the rest of the kids....not so much the ball

He got a trophy so that was all that mattered to him

Saturday night we had our Life Group hayride and cookout in Oakland.   Our life group leader's parents live out there and are so nice to host us each year.  We cook hotdogs, make s'mores and eat lots of other yummy things.   The rotel was so good, they pureed it and it was like pancho's dip, just heavenly!   I also had a Reese cup s'mores and oh my..that was heavenly too.   They have a zipline hooked up in the trees, Chase would not ride it, but I did.  It was a seat so luckily, very little danger.  The kids played and had a ball.   We had fun on our hayride, but boy was it cold!  I was ready to get back to the warm fire!

And just for fun...Sara Beth gave chase this hat and boots that were her's and her sister's years ago.  He wore them to Mama Jane's today and I am sure it was not long before she made him take them off.  They were LOUD on the hardwood!
