If you are parents you have probably had the situation where your child throws up, but only once, and is fine all day. This is what happened early Wednesday morning. Chase threw up around 6 am and then was totally fine. Jason and I said, if he gets sick again or acts like he feels bad in the least, we will not go to Denise's (J's sister) for his family Thanksgiving dinner. We eat on Wednesday night with them since they go to her husbands house on Thursday and we go to MS. So off to Denise's we go and Chase is fine. We leave around 8 that night for MS and he is still fine. Then on Friday, Jason got sick, then his nephew back in Memphis, J's sister and brother-in-law did not feel great, I didn't not feel good, my uncle got it while deer hunting, and the Sunday my mom got it. The dreaded stomach virus made our Thanksgiving very interesting. It is not funny, but thinking of my poor uncle in the woods throwing up in the 35 degree weather while Jason and my cousin hunt for the deer he shot makes me laugh. They never found the deer, which bothers everyone so much. No one wants to shoot a deer and not find it. All of my family eats the meat so to us, it is a horrible sad waste when that happens. I guess it was able to run quite a ways before falling. They hunted for it again the next day.
My mom and I went out at midnight to the mall to do some shopping for Black Friday. It is more of a fun thing for us and not a trying to get something thing. We didn't do much else the whole weekend but tend to sick people and stay at my mom's house just letting Chase play. Coming up, Jason and I will go to St. Louis to see his head baseball coach get inducted into the National Baseball Coaches of America Hall of Fame. It is a huge deal. We are excited for Coach Clark and excited for a weekend away together. Jason will go to the conference and I will do whatever with the other wives, but it will be fun regardless to be in a nice hotel. Chase will stay with J's mom and I am sure will be spoiled rotten and have a ball! I am still working on getting my picture with Santa Claus of Chase. I am not sure we have him convinced.
I really didn't take any pictures this weekend since we didn't leave the house, but here is one of Jason and Chase going "hunting". Chase has a toy gun from a video game. You can see the cords wrapped around the handle that go to the TV. The "hunt" lasted about 20 minutes. I never wanted Chase to hunt due to the danger of the guns, but it looks like I may not have a choice! Its a good hobby, just a scary one! They are buddies for sure!
