St. Louis Weekend

I got to spend last weekend with Jason in St. Louis at his baseball coaches conference.  His head coach got inducted into the Hall of Fame which is a huge honor for a National Coaching organization.  We walked to the Arch...I refused to go up in it.  Jason was just as chicken as I was.  I am scared of heights and riding in that little car up to the top was not happening!  We did tour the museum and it was neat!   We attended the Awards Dinner Friday night.  The food was great!  Some of the wives and I rode the subway to go to what I think is the biggest mall I have ever been too.  It was awesome!  We ate at the Cheesecake Factory and shopped all day.   Saturday night we went to The Hill community to eat some authentic Italian.  Yogi Berra and other famous baseball players are from that area.   The house's are tall and not wide.  They are really close together and had the most beautiful Christmas lights up.   All bright colors.  I love colored lights!   We explored some other parts of downtown too and it was all neat and so clean!   We stopped by Lambert's in Sikeston on the way back Sunday.  I actually caught a roll from a good distance!  I could not believe it didn't hit me in my face.  It was a great weekend away with too much awesome food!  I am watching what I eat this week for sure!   We missed Chase a lot.  He was sick with Tonsilitis and staying with his Mommaw.  I almost didn't go on the trip since he was sick, but decided since the doctor said he would be fine to go and I am glad I didn't miss it!

Morgantown Street, sorta like Beale Street, but cleaner.  Lots of beautiful decorations and the streets were cobblestone.  Looked like lots of fun places to eat as we walked by.

Busch Stadium. We went in the Fan Store.

Arch behind what I was told is one of the oldest churches west of the Mississippi

I tried out that panorama on my iPhone

Us at the base of the Arch.  You can see the river bridge behind us.

See those 2 black specs to the left on the sidewalk, that is us!  My friend Holley too this while they were at the top of the Arch and we were walking back to the hotel.  We stopped and waived when she called to tell us to look up!
